Bipartisan Approach

Brian works with both Democrats and Republicans

Representative Mast is part of the growing bipartisan House Climate Solutions Caucus that is discussing paths forward to reduce carbon emissions and address climate change and sea level rise.

I’m proud to be a member of the Bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus. The Caucus is an important tool to educate members on economically-viable options to reduce climate risk and protect our nation’s economy, security, infrastructure and environment. Together, we can find a path forward to protect our planet for future generations.” – Brian Mast

Brian doesn’t just talk. He co-sponsoring the bipartisan Marine Oil Spill Prevention Act, which would extend the current ban on oil and gas drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and strengthen the federal government’s ability to prevent and respond to future oil spills. He also co-sponsored a bipartisan bill that establishes a bipartisan National Climate Solutions Commission that would find ways to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.

Representative Mast also works with his colleagues on both sides of the aisle to protect his district’s greatest natural treasures, including the Everglades. He went across the aisle and voted in favor of reducing methane pollution from the oil and gas industry, which would curb smog and greenhouse gases, creating $170 million in benefits.

He continues Florida’s bipartisan tradition of balancing environmental and economic needs. Brian approaches all issues with an open mind, letting the facts tell the story. He firmly believes that by listening and working with all sides on energy, not only will clean energy accelerate, but Florida will prosper.

ClearPath Supports Brian Mast

I’m Jay Faison, founder of ClearPath Action Fund, a clean energy organization and we support Brian Mast because he gets things done. I’ve never seen such a hard-working congressman do so much for clean energy and the environment in just two years. Brian cares.

He knows how our actions impact the generations of tomorrow, so he finds clean energy solutions today. He has the courage to fight through Washington gridlock because he believes it’s the right thing to do. Brian is a true clean energy champion for Florida and for America.
